I have always been an artistic soul and passionate student who was not too sure what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I knew I wanted to make significant change in the world and I wanted to express my creativity.
This really all began while working as a digital chat representative participating in a workshop sprint to help plan out chat bot flows!
After talking with a conversational designer I furthered my research into what
UI/UX design even was...and I was hooked.
Coming from a hobby artist background I found the world of UX design fascinating. the analytical and strategic mindsets of UX research and design, the mindful creativity of UI design, graphic design, and UX writing all drew me into this new career path.
However I realized that I have been on this path unknowingly all along...
Having a 10+ year career in customer service, I felt that this switch to UI/UX design was a way that my skills could translate well and I could learn more about our digital spaces online!
Once I made the commitment to this change I spent 2 years learning as much as I could. I worked, studied and learned so much from my mentors to ensure that I not only had the skills, but the mindset to successfully work in UI/UX design.
The learning process continues as I move forward and always look to improve.
I see design as a huge way to make an impact and foster a better way for everyone to navigate through these digital spaces.
